An all-time favorite half day Tour. Britt Coffee Farm is located just a few kilometers north of the City of Heredia and only 30 minutes away from San Jose Downtown. A professional group of actors will portrait the enormous cultural influence of coffee within the Costa Rican society and also will show you how the final beverage is produced. All this accompanied by music, costumes and local traditions.This is certainly a most entertaining way to learn about coffee and visitors are encouraged to participate. First you’ll visit the organic coffee plantation and then the roasting facilities. Later on you’ll be taken to a special multi-media presentation which will familiarize you with the history of coffee around the world and off course in Costa Rica.

A cupping session will also be included, as well as a visit to their stocked gift shop, were you can choose to take home a Britt souvenir or buy premium exportation coffee at factory prices. After this, an exquisite tropical buffet lunch is there for you to enjoy.

Those who chose the Coffee Lovers Tour will be taken to a larger facility (wet plant) to learn how the ripe grains are peeled, washed and dried, before roasting them.

This trip takes you to a very comprehensive three hour plus ride, showing San Jose’s most important and significant buildings and points of interest. There will be guided stops at the following places: Costa Rica’s National Monument, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Gold Museum, the National Theatre (except Sundays and Holidays) and a souvenir and handicraft store, at the outskirts of San Jose.

The City Tour departs from Don Carlos Hotel at 1:30 p.m. and it is scheduled to  return at 5:00 p.m. approximately. Included: Transportation, bilingual guide and entrance fees.

The INBio Park is an educational and recreational center where visitors will experience the vast world of biological diversity found in Costa Rica and its National Parks, helping them understand the importance of its preservation. Located only 20 minutes away from Downtown San Jose, this theme park informs visitors about Costa Rica’s natural history by way of interpreted trails, where you’ll get to know lots of native plants and other creatures from 03 different ecosystems: The Central Valley Forest, The Tropical Rain Forest and The Tropical Dry Forest. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit: The Butterfly Garden, Frog - Spider and Serpent Exhibits, The Lagoon, The Aquarium, The Rural Farm, The Medicinal Plant Garden and many other attractions. Your visit will be accompanied by videos about the different National Parks and you’ll also have opportunity to observe some harmless animals who wander free along the park: Sloths, white-tail deer, iguanas, ducks and turtles, among others.
