Without a doubt, this is Costa Rica’s premium rafting adventure. Pacuare offers paddlers 18 miles of Class III and Class IV rapids amidst some of the most gorgeous scenery possible.
You’ll experience untouched forests, impressive and densely vegetated gorges, a waterfall that pours directly into the river, calm stretches where you can safely take a plunge and an incredible succession of rapids that will keep your adrenaline flowing, such as: “Lower Huacas” “Upper Huacas” “Cimarron” “Dos Montañas” and many, many others. The forests along which the river flows host a great diversity of wildlife of all kinds, being birds and butterflies the most frequent to be seen.
Departure is scheduled to be at 6:20 a.m. and return is expected between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. Both breakfast and lunch are included. Previous rafting experience is desired but not indispensable. Rafting companies will provide you with the required equipment: Helmets, life vests and paddles. Specialized river guides will provide their expertise so that you’ll be able to enjoy a one of a kind experience.
